Sripathi Sooriyarachchi
Sripathi Sooriyarachchi (8 September 1962 – 9 February 2008) was a Sri Lankan cabinet minister, member of parliament, lawyer and wrestling champion.〔(Daily News (Sri Lanka), Monday, 12 April 2004, "Jeewan, Sripathi want sports to reach greater heights" by Dinesh Weerawansa )〕 He was fired from his cabinet position after he accused Sri Lanka's president Mahinda Rajapaksa of entering into an accord with LTTE.〔(Sooriyaarachchi killed in accident )〕 He had alleged he faced death threats.〔(Sripathi seeks police protection against death threats )〕 In March 2007, he was arrested on charges of misusing a government vehicle〔(BBC Sinhala, 17 March, 2007, 17:24 GMT - Former Minister arrested and remanded )〕
